Emotional Geometry uses scanning technology and collage to communicate the subtle process of emotional sublimation and its impact on visual composition. The scanner, a traditionally static tool for copying documents, is used as a photographic tool to capture and sequence temporary images. Collaged hand-cut shapes and silhouettes are scanned to produce a series of frames that document subtle, iterative changes. These frames are then stitched together to display the lapse of time as a single image. Each frame represents a unique instance of emotional redirection, reflecting impermanence and the fluidity of internal experiences.
